2024 Salem Flea Marketplace Application
The Salem Flea Marketplace located in Downtown Salem at the old piano factory building of 11 Dodge Street Court is a home, and launching point, for owner-operators with independent businesses.
We take very seriously the decision to invite individuals into our business community. We organize The Salem Flea, an outdoor market of curators, collectors, and artists in nearby Derby Square. We are expanding our offerings to have the same unique marketplace experience within Salem but in a Brick and Mortar experience. We work to create a sense of belonging for any business owner who comes into The Salem Flea Marketplace. We are a LGBTQ owned business so our philosophy guidelines extend and we expect any individual we work with to respect us, our staff, the other businesses at the Market, and our guest community.
A few things about what sort of owners are a good fit for The Salem Flea Marketplace:
Owners who have been working on their business for awhile (online, popups, outdoor markets, etc) and are looking for their first brick and mortar within our marketplace.
Owners that are committed to engaging with and adding to the Salem Flea business community
Owners that pay attention to the quality of their space and their products.
Owners that have honed in their product offerings and price points through prior experience
Owners that are interested in building up a brick and mortar business rather than a temporary market stall
Our retail concept allows for an open flow space collaborative experience in the center of the space with individual vendor spaces on the sides. We want your space to flow within the store but have your personality and product offerings within your space of the marketplace.

If you're interested in becoming a vendor at the marketplace please submit the form below. We are currently not accepting additional vendors all applicants will be added to a waitlist to contact if spaces open
Semi-permanent spaces 10x10 and 8x8. Spaces are per month. If you have a dedicated space, no commission is required.
It is recommended that vendors come weekly or every other week to refresh and restock these spaces

Sales payout is less Sales Tax on taxable items and credit card processing charges.
All vendors will be required to keep space replenished and consistent with marketplace quality standards. Vendors are encouraged to rework displays based on contract terms to keep spaces looking fresh or as frequently as desired.
Commission based product offerings - Commission spaces are smaller spaces located in the middle of the shop. Sizes will be determined by us based on product offerings.
30% Commissions on products sold
Will be reviewed and have contract of 6 month term
